Eric Bravo, Psy.D.
Dr. Bravo is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Maryland. His Doctor of Psychology degree (Psy.D.) was awarded in 2011 from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Washington, DC. In addition, Dr. Bravo holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology that was awarded in 2007. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD in 2004.
Dr. Bravo’s current efforts in the field involve providing psychotherapy in private practice. In addition to individual psychotherapy for depression, anxiety, relationship problems and general life stress, he offers support for a variety of presenting difficulties. Dr. Bravo’s practice also offers family therapy, marital/couples counseling, and group psychotherapy. Outside of private practice, Dr. Bravo is an Adjunct Professor for the Master of Arts Forensic Psychology program at Argosy University, Washington, DC. As an Adjunct Professor, he teaches graduate level students Substance Abuse/Addictions Counseling and Ethical and Professional Issues in Forensic Psychology.
A significant portion of Dr. Bravo’s experience includes work with substance abuse and addictions in outpatient, intensive-outpatient, and inpatient settings with both adult and young adult populations. Addictions treatment remains a fundamental component of his practice. Dr. Bravo has been trained from an integrated therapeutic orientation. He employs cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approaches while also incorporating physical fitness, family systems, existentialism, positive psychology, mindfulness, and motivational techniques.
