Emma Sholtis, Psy.D.
Dr. Emma Sholtis is a Licensed Psychologist in Maryland and DC. She provides individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Sholtis’ clinical interests include childhood post-traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, and behavior problems.
In her approach to therapy, Dr. Sholtis emphasizes skill-building and self-confidence as essential components of change and growth. Her approach to therapy is integrative, pulling from cognitive-behavioral, play therapy, humanistic, and positive psychology techniques to create a unique plan for each client. Dr. Sholtis enjoys working with children and young adults of all ages, and can work with children as young as four.
Dr. Sholtis earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Washington DC. Her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology was awarded in 2007 from the University of Rochester, NY. She has worked in a wide variety of clinical settings, including a therapeutic preschool, residential treatment centers, outpatient therapy clinics, and a special education school.
