Virginia Fee, Ph.D.
Dr. Virginia Fee is a licensed clinical psychologist providing services in Maryland and North Carolina.
With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Fee enjoys assessing and treating mental health challenges across the lifespan. She is experienced treating stress, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, and difficulties of childhood/adolescence/parent-child issues.
Dr. Fee provides a safe and trusting therapeutic alliance to help consumers reach their goals. She seeks to serve as an objective outside source who will understand a person’s circumstances and then work to help the person improve their situation. She considers life to be a journey with opportunities to reduce stress and live a happier life along the way.
Dr. Fee feels it is important to understand a person’s background, interests, and current life circumstances to better a person’s presenting needs. She maintains a positive, strength-based approach using behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, and dialectical behavior therapy approaches within a client-centered framework.
Dr. Fee received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She earned her Master of Arts and Doctorate at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Her clinical internship was completed at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. In addition to clinical practice, she has experience in higher education, teaching, conducting research, and providing supervision.
