Dr. Deborah Williams provides individual therapy and assessment services to adolescents, young adults, and adults. She gives tailored experiences to each one of her clients, and works with them to achieve therapeutic and life goals. By working together, using evidence based tools to identify patterns of behavior and thoughts which may be negatively impacting a person’s life, she helps alleviate psychological discomfort. Dr. Williams believes that a caring relationship and a safe space to be open are the cornerstones to a successful therapeutic experience.

Dr. Williams has a well-rounded background in psychological issues. Her specialties include working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, educational difficulties, significant life changes, and   emotional discomfort. To support change, she employs a variety of therapeutic techniques, which include psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and mindfulness interventions.

Dr. Williams also conducts psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. These assessments can help with diagnostic clarification, including: learning disabilities, autism, attention deficit, surgical readiness, or emotional functioning. Assessments help with treatment, identify strengths and weaknesses, and provide a fuller picture of an individual. Dr. Williams ensures that assessment recommendations are clear, specific, and practical.

Dr. Williams received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pace University in 2014. She completed her doctoral internship at APA-accredited Child Guidance Clinic in Washington, D.C., and her Postdoctoral Residency at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital. She has extensive training in assessments, ABA therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and interpersonal therapy.
