Jay Eubanks, LCSW-C
Jay is a licensed psychotherapist in the state of Maryland and has been in clinical practice for 20 plus years. He has worked extensively with adults both individually and in group therapy.
Jay interacts with clients dealing with addiction recovery, childhood abuse and trauma, adult trauma, phobias, anxiety, depression, stress management, relationships, self- esteem and image as well as other life issues. His therapeutic approach considers the whole person and their unique experience. His goal is to build rapport then trust while exploring each individuals thinking, beliefs, and behavior to facilitate the client’s building a better life. He utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, a powerful tool for trauma resolution, Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness and other behavioral techniques.
Outside of private practice, Jay is associated with the Kolmac Clinic where for 17 years he was Clinical Director of their Gaithersburg, MD location. He currently is Clinical Supervisor and facilitates several long term addiction recovery groups. He supervises therapists who are seeking licensure in Maryland and is approved by the Maryland Boards’ of Social Work and Professional Counselors. He also enjoys training graduate students and is an approved field instructor for several social work and counseling programs including the University of MD at Baltimore, The Uniformed Services University, Walden University, The University of Phoenix, Virginia Commonwealth University and others.
